Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Jr Data Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your data engineering career while working with modern tools like dbt, Snowflake, and Power BI in a collaborative, Agile environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience building data pipelines, supporting reporting solutions, and applying data quality practices that directly impact business decisions. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, leverage generative AI tools, and build a strong foundation in enterprise data operations. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of data pipelines, assist with ETL/ELT processes, and contribute to reporting and analytics efforts. You will collaborate closely with team members, participate in Agile ceremonies, and follow established data governance and SDLC practices while learning the business context that drives data usage. Responsibilities: Build and maintain simple data pipelines using tools such as dbt, IBM DataStage, and Power Platform with team guidance Write SQL queries and perform data transformations across platforms like DB2 and Snowflake Support data ingestion, validation, and loading processes while applying data quality checks Maintain Power BI reports, troubleshoot issues, refresh data, and implement minor dashboard enhancements The Ideal Candidate: Foundational experience with SQL and relational databases (DB2, Snowflake, or similar) Experience working with one or more of these Microsoft Power Products (PowerBI, Power Automate, Power Apps) Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline concepts Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools Exposure to data engineering tools such as dbt, DataStage, or similar technologies Understanding of SDLC practices, including version control, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies Ability to write clean, testable, and reusable code with basic testing knowledge (unit/integration) Strong problem‑solving skills with a willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment Reasons to Love It: Opportunity to work with modern data tools and emerging technologies like generative AI Collaborative team environment with mentorship and growth opportunities Exposure to enterprise‑level data processes, governance, and compliance standards Hands‑on experience contributing to impactful data solutions in a structured Agile setting
