HII‑MTC is seeking a Business Data Analyst to support F‑35 JPO Sustainment leadership in advancing the F‑35 MROU Dashboard (Power BI) build-out and associated enterprise reporting requirements.
The role involves performing both functional and technical analytical tasks, including defining and coordinating technical requirements, analyzing sustainment data structures and systems, shaping dashboard logic, and translating fleet readiness and maintenance workflows into clear, actionable requirements for development.
The analyst will obtain, validate, and consolidate program data from cross‑functional organizations to support recurring reporting needs. The role also manages the sustainment and improvement of reporting frameworks, performance metrics, and related business processes to ensure program visibility and informed decision‑making across the F‑35 Sustainment Enterprise.
Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with large datasets, and experience coordinating across multiple functional and technical teams.
The position is 100% Remote/Telework; location within the DMV metropolitan area is preferred.
Gather and document functional and technical requirements
Coordinate with SMEs to understand data sources, business rules, data processes, and analytic needs
Conduct data validation, interpret outputs, and reconcile discrepancies with data engineers and dashboard developers
Support sprint planning, backlog development, requirement reviews, and cross‑team coordination.
Support data modeling and dataset definition discussions
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new dashboard features and enhancements
Support current projects by tracking relevant data and dashboard metrics, developing and updating reports, providing administrative and document related support.
Coordinate across the project team and other internal stakeholders as well as with subcontractors as needed.
Develop, propose, and implement solutions for material or logistics related issues to maintain program and project goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience defining requirements for analytics, dashboards, or data-driven applications
Ability to interpret structured datasets and collaborate with technical teams
Strong communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Background in developing SOPs, manuals, internal controls, or enterprise process documentation
Ability to develop, track, and analyze metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Strong familiarity with document control processes and best practices
Experience in project management, Agile methodologies, or strategic planning roles
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools
Bachelor's degree with 3-8 years of relevant experience in program/project management, compliance, audit readiness, or process improvement
Clearance: An active Secret security clearance minimum or ability to obtain
Needing minimum Secret clearance to access government platforms and databases
Skill Levels
Business Data Analyst I : 0 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field; or high school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years relevant experience.
Business Data Analyst II : 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field; or high school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years relevant experience.
Business Data Analyst III : 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; 0 years relevant experience with a Ph.D.; or high school diploma or equivalent plus 9 years relevant experience.
Business Data Analyst IV : 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; 4 years relevant experience with a Ph.D.; or high school diploma or equivalent plus 13 years relevant experience.
Business Data Analyst V : 15 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field; 13 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; 10 years relevant experience with a Ph.D.; or high school diploma or equivalent plus 19 years relevant experience.

Familiarity with sustainment, maintenance, logistics, or readiness reporting.
Experience supporting aviation sustainment or DoD logistics systems.
Experience with statistical analysis and root cause analysis techniques.
Ability to identify process gaps and recommend actionable solutions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods while working at a computer.
Must be able to effectively communicate in virtual meetings, briefings, and secure collaboration environments.
Ability to review, analyze, and interpret digital data for extended periods with attention to detail and accuracy.
Must maintain a home work environment that meets company and government security requirements (e.g., controlled space for handling sensitive or FOUO information, if applicable).
Must work assigned East Coast core business hours to support program and customer requirements.
This is a full-time remote role. Team members are expected to be online, available, and responsive during their scheduled work hours to support collaboration and customer needs.
