Job Description

The Supervisor, Security Systems will be responsible for enterprise-wide security systems including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection and other programs required for the protection of AbbVie resources and assets. This role will provide strategic guidance and tactical support for new installations, upgrades to existing systems and problem resolution for AbbVie sites globally. This position requires strong collaboration and influence with other AbbVie functions and outside service providers.

Responsibilities

Accountable for planning, development, and deployment of security systems for AbbVie locations globally. This role develops physical security plans (access control, surveillance and alarms) for our sites and configures the applications to meet site requirements. The role partners with BTS for to include infrastructure and/or application changes that require a system life cycle management process.

  • Develop and communicate to a broad audience regarding long range plans for security system deployment across the enterprise.
  • Provide technical expertise for project scoping and planning, requirements gathering and technical support of security systems. Responsibility for project budgets.
  • Evaluate and benchmark AbbVie's security system posture in the industry and make appropriate recommendations for identified gaps. Must be forward looking for relevant technologies, required competencies and/or skill sets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and performance standards for third party integrators and contractors.
  • Responsible for policies, procedures and training related to security systems including badging activities. We must have security systems in place that meet the regulatory requirements of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) compliance is maintained within the access control systems.
  • Lead and develop a security systems team that is responsible for access control, technical support, system upgrades, and other security initiatives as required.
  • Manage installations and conversions of the access control systems globally to include management of 3rd party vendors providing support and direction as needed
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining and/or pursuing appropriate system certifications for self and staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an area of study relevant to the position with 7 or 8 years of total experience in the field of security systems experience or related experience required and of progressive leadership, including people or large and complex project management leadership experience
  • Security systems implementation/deployment, security integration, Project Management Ability. Lead and develop a qualified security system team
  • Genetec Certification
  • Must Possess high level of communication skills, both verbal and written

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Pay Range: $84500 - 162000 USD

Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
