Job Overview We are seeking an experienced DevOps/Kubernetes Engineer to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission‑critical systems. Candidates must actively hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, OR hold an active TS/SCI and be willing to undergo a Polygraph.
In this role, you will be responsible for automating manual processes, maintaining processes developed by the CAAT, and developing Windows automation using Python and/or Microsoft PowerShell. Key duties include supporting the deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline in a multi‑tenant environment that includes both Windows and Linux systems. You will manage GitLab CI/CD pipeline code, configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers, review code in Git repositories, and provide technical guidance for microservices. Additionally, you will support developer testing, create and maintain DevOps documentation, and perform security remediation as needed. You will also be expected to perform other job duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Kubernetes (preferably OpenShift or EKS) and Docker containers, proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages, and familiarity with both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of AWS services (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS), AWS Serverless architectures, DevSecOps methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines is essential. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat is preferred.
Experience Requirements
Active TS/SCI Clearance With Polygraph, OR willingness to take a Polygraph
Proactive self‑starter with a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills
A minimum of 2‑3 years of recent experience with Kubernetes infrastructure, preferably with OpenShift or EKS
A minimum of 2‑3 years of recent experience with Docker containers
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
Demonstrated experience administrating both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
Understanding of custom code development and reviews
Experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting
Experience with AWS services and technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS)
Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
Experience supporting development testing
Experience with cloud‑based architectures
Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of software development and software sustainment practices
Familiarity with team collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Experience Preferences
Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers
Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS
Experience with GitLab CI/CD
AWS certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
Linux certifications
Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies

Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
