Education Required Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred)
Experience Required
3 or more years of DRE experience developing and executing technical solutions for injection molded and/or compression molded interior components
Knowledge of plastic materials, compression molding, and injection molding
Experience resolving ergonomic issues related to hard trim or overhead systems at a vehicle OEM
Balancing business imperatives, including cost, mass, complexity, and timing
Comfort working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and rapid change in a results-driven environment
Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and GD&T
Preferred Skills
Previous DRE experience
Familiarity with structured problem solving methods such as:
Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) – Green belt certification or higher
