About

Technical Sales Support Specialist The Technical Sales Support Specialist provides information to the sales team on prospective sales opportunities, manages inbound lead activity, and qualifies interest to develop and close sales opportunities. The role prepares professional sales quotes and proposals, identifies new business opportunities, manages the lead and opportunity pipeline, and understands the technical requirements of customers. Responsibilities Prospect, educate, and qualify leads and target accounts to create sales‑qualified leads and opportunities. Identify key decision makers, validate request for information, and fulfill them. Research accounts, establish contact, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate sales opportunities. Aid in developing a strong lead‑nurturing program for prospects. Develop and maintain a schedule of milestones for sales prospects. Perform database segmentation and analysis. Collaborate with marketing, regional sales managers, project managers, business managers, engineers, and customer service to determine strategic sales approaches and ensure delivery commitments are met. Ensure that leads provided to sales teams are high priority and update lead and prospect activity in CRM for efficient lead management. Produce a predetermined number of quality appointments per month and achieve a high quality rating on appointments as indicated by the sales team. Conduct regular business correspondence, produce sales reports and scripts, and assist in the development of sales tools. Implement sales and marketing plans for Renishaw products, services, programs, and accounts. Attend industry events to build expertise and expand network. Remain knowledgeable and up to date on company products. Qualifications Minimum education and experience: Demonstrated success collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Must have eligibility to use and access ITAR‑controlled data; compliance with U.S. export control laws is required. Preferred: Experience in an inside sales role. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. ERP experience to identify stock, serial numbers, and sales orders. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Ability to build rapport with prospective and existing customers. Interest in manufacturing technology and applications. Compensation Annual salary range: $55,000 - $65,000, depending on level and location. Final offer amounts are determined by candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location.
