Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our data architecture team and help expand and optimize our modern data lakehouse environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a Microsoftcentric ecosystem and has deep handson experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, dbt, and SQLdriven data engineering. You will collaborate with DBAs, analysts, and business stakeholders to design scalable data pipelines, improve data quality, and support enterprise analytics across our cloud data platform.

Build, enhance, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory
Develop, test, and optimize dbt models for Snowflake and Azurebased lakehouse workloads
Engineer ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows across Azure Data Lake Storage
Implement best practices for Snowflake performance tuning, cost optimization, and data modeling
Integrate SQL Server data sources and collaborate with DBAs on operational data flows
Write highquality SQL, Python, and PowerShell to automate and improve data workflows
Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data reliability and SLA adherence
Partner with business teams to translate data requirements into robust engineering solutions
Contribute to data governance, documentation, and metadata management initiatives
Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering standards and reusable patterns
Qualifications and Education Requirements This candidate should have a BS in computer science, information technology or related technical/engineering field.
3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field
Strong expertise with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, triggers, integration runtimes) and other
Handson experience with Snowflake (warehousing, Snowpipe, RBAC, performance tuning)
Proficiency with dbt (models, tests, macros, documentation)
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage and modern Data Lakehouse architecture
Scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, data modeling, and CI/CD workflows
Preferred Skills
Experience working in Azure GCCHigh, IL5, or other highersecurity cloud environments
Familiarity with SQL Server administration concepts or collaboration with DBA teams
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar version control and deployment tools
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, lineage, and cataloging tools
Background in performance optimization for cloudbased data platforms
Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
