About

We are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer with 7+ years of experience to help design, implement, and support cloud and network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep Microsoft Azure expertise and a strong foundation in networking.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our client's environment while operating in a fast-paced setting with constantly evolving priorities.
This is a six-month contract-to-hire role located in Franklin, TN. There may be some periodic travel to a location in Murfreesboro, TN as well. This is a hybrid role where you are in the office 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, compute, storage, and security configurations
Administer and optimize Azure environments for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routing
Support and enhance hybrid cloud networking architectures
Implement and manage network security controls and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and network issues across environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure initiatives
Document systems, processes, and solutions to ensure operational continuity
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
Requirements
7+ years of experience
in cloud and/or network engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience with
Microsoft Azure administration and engineering
Proven experience with: Virtual networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute)
Identity and access management (Azure AD)
Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall management
Experience working in environments with changing priorities and competing demands
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience with Fortinet firewalls
Experience with Cisco Meraki switches and networking solutions
Background or exposure to cybersecurity principles and best practices
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP)
