Job summary
- In this position, you will be handling routine activities as part of applicable project requirements in West.
- You will take part in test handling, including reviewing the obtained results, the establishment of a new testing procedure, defining testing protocols and generating reports / summaries.
- As part of this role you will be able to work with different testing equipment types, handling calibration requirements and working with consumables, drug products and other goods.
Make a difference as a Technical Support, R&D, Lab, DE (Fixed term contract -12 months)
- Technical support of functional, physical and chemical testing in the R&D lab and providingtechnical advice to the global customers of the lab; executing the test portfolio of the R&D lab: test method sustain / revision, execution, and documentation, for example:
- Functional / physical:
- Functional product tests (e.g. syringes & vials, stickiness, tensile, etc.)
- Functional material tests (rheology, compression set, hardness, etc)
- CCI tests for elastomer, plastic and aluminum products
- Others, as e.g. required in case of deputy
- Chemical:
- Solvent handling & testing
- Material tests with reducing substances
- Coloration and visual / microscopic inspection (before / after treatment)
- Constantly contributing to the development of new and / or modified functional test methods including method description, test execution, qualification
- Responsible for the manufacturing / purchase of specialty equipment accessories (toolbox lab e.g. tensiometers, fixtures, 3D print, etc)
- Support for keeping the functional equipment maintained and calibrated including documentation and data review
- Direct communication with internal and external sources as required for the job
- Laboratory apprenticeship and / or technician degree or bachelor's degree
- Professional use of English and German language verbally and in writing
- Several years' relevant work experience
- cGMP experience and work experience in the area of medical devices
- IT affinity & experience in MS office
- Statistical and analysis experience preferred
- Ability of independent and teamwork with strong drive for results
- Statistical and analysis experience – advantageous
