We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our IT Operations team at Submittable. This role is the technical backbone of the Submittable employee experience — owning the tools, systems, and support that keep our team running. You will be the go-to resource for day-to-day IT support, endpoint device lifecycle, and the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring every Submittable employee has what they need to do their best work from day one.
This is a full-time hybrid position in Missoula, MT, and reports to the IT Operations Manager.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Key technician for day-to-day IT support of Submittable employees including on-site and remote support
Manage IT Endpoint inventory including computers, monitors, input devices (mice/keyboards/trackpads), printers and printing supplies, and headphones/AirPods.
Stakeholder in endpoint lifecycle process including procurement, lifecycle management, and retiring of endpoint devices and peripherals
Triage cybersecurity related endpoint issues
Perform onboarding duties for Submittable employees including equipment shipping, peripheral device procurement, endpoint device setup, and new hire orientation
Perform offboarding duties for Submittable including account and access revocation, equipment returns, and other required offboarding duties.
Provide support to Submittable users utilizing Jira ticketing system in order to track issues and collect data-driven metrics
Support Submittable meeting space technologies including Zoom/Google Meet Room hardware, displays, video bars, speakers, and microphones.
Build and deploy IT approved operating systems, applications and software updates on endpoint devices utilizing device management systems such as Kandji and Microsoft Intune utilizing industry standard best practices for testing and validating packages prior to production deployment.
Initiate, coordinate, and enforce Submittable policies and procedures
The primary goal for this role should be to ensure Submittable employee technical needs are met
Work on IT related projects utilizing modern IT practices and principles.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of Desktop Support experience or equivalent IT experience
Associate’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience
Experience with IT documentation and ticketing software (Jira preferred)
Experience with business collaboration and communication tools (e.g. Google Meet and Zoom)
Ability to prepare and interpret IT documents and step-by-step action plans
Capability to install, diagnose, upgrade, and restore Apple and Windows based computers
Familiarity with computer networking environments and terminology
Familiarity with automation tools utilizing scripting and APIs
Exposure to AI technologies - LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI
Exceptional client-facing and teamwork skills
Familiarity with project management software (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, or the equivalent)
A+ and ITIL Certification preferred
Microsoft and/or Apple certifications preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $55-62k. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
