About

Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is looking for senior Data Engineers. This person will be playing a key role in designing and crafting a modern Data and Information Delivery and Analytics platform in the cloud to support Equity Compensation products for the Global markets. This person will be working closely with architects and engineers and business SMEs to build and release solutions that help customers get the information they need fast and intuitively.
Required Technical Skills
Expert proficiency in PL/SQL (procedures, packages) for developing complex data transformations and business logic.
Strong experience with the Oracle platform and related data replication technologies like Golden Gate.
Proven experience with ETL methodologies and tools such as Informatica.
Hands‑on expertise in OBIEE for modeling the semantic layer (RPD development), creating facts/dimensions, and building high‑visibility reports.
Proficiency in Python for automation, testing, and supporting deployment processes.
Demonstrated ability to perform performance tuning on large datasets and complex database code.
Key Experience and Skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required
10+ years of hands‑on experience in Data engineering, data warehousing and analytics technologies
Expert‑level knowledge of writing complex SQL queries using Oracle.
Expert‑level knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, packages, triggers)
Strong working experience in ETL tools like Informatica (Power Center)
Working experience in scripting and automation using Unix, Python in a Data Engineering environment.
Extensive experience with Relational Databases like Oracle including being able to implement performance tuning techniques
Strong working knowledge of Datawarehousing patterns and Dimensional Modelling techniques using Oracle.
Experience building scalable patterns for data integration in a cloud-based as well as on‑prem environments
Working knowledge of Batch scheduling tools like Control‑M, Autosys.
Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as OBIEE/OAS
Working experience using GitHUB for Source Code Management (SCM) in a Data Engineering Practice.
Working experience using GenAI tools like GitHUB Co‑Pilot
Experience working on projects in an Agile environment
