Director of Research & Recruitment at Lloyd Staffing Desktop Support Specialist Responsibilities
Provide Level 2 support for Windows, macOS, and Linux workstations, resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot VPN connectivity, Wi‑Fi issues, printers, and remote desktop access. Perform system diagnostics, resolve OS errors, and assist with workstation performance optimization. Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. User Support & Customer Service
Deliver high‑quality technical assistance via phone, email, chat, and in‑person support. Maintain professionalism when handling escalated or complex user issues. Provide step‑by‑step guidance to end users with varying levels of technical understanding. Document issues and resolutions clearly for future reference and knowledge‑base entries. Account & Access Management
Create and manage Active Directory accounts, including password resets, group membership, and permissions. Support MFA enrollment and troubleshooting (Duo, Okta, Microsoft Authenticator). Configure Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists, and shared mailbox permissions. Hardware Deployment & Maintenance
Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, monitors, scanners and peripherals. Install, configure, and update approved applications. Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and encryption tools (BitLocker, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black). Support SaaS platforms and ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and ConnectWise. Requirements
Installing, upgrading, and repairing PC desktops, laptops, and printers. (Mac / OS X a plus) Supporting, upgrading and troubleshooting Windows 10. Active Directory: Experience administering Active Directory user accounts and groups. Microsoft 365: User Adds/Changes, Email, Sharepoint, and Office Applications. iOS and Android mobile devices. (Zebra Android Handheld Scanners a plus) Supporting and troubleshooting basic network connectivity, Wi‑Fi, and VPN issues. Strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
