About

Responsibilities Network Administrator I isan entry-level position for the Network Administrator line of positions. A skilled IT professional responsible for ensuring an organization's computer networks run efficiently, reliably, and securely. Key duties include installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and implementing security measures. They also manage user accounts, perform backups, and ensure network components like servers, routers, and firewalls are up-to-date. Network Administrators rely on and help set Astra policies, instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Some intra-agency travel is required. This position works under the immediate supervision of the Director of Information Technology. During times when your primary responsibilities are limited, you may be asked to assist in other areas as needed to support overall operations, regardless of your specific role.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; relevant experience can be substituted.
3 years of IT experience working directly with IT systems, either in a desktop or backend support position. General knowledge of network interconnectivity hardware, cloud based systems, Microsoft Hyper‑V, VMWare, Microsoft AD, Microsoft 365, VPN, and MFA or combination of several of these technologies preferred.
Current or past certification in these areas is preferred: CCNE, Microsoft MCSE, MS‑900, AZ‑900 or one or more of Microsoft’s more focused certs.
Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with persons served, both verbally in writing, and in a professional manner.
Successful completion of criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check, and other applicable background investigations.
Possess a valid Kansas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
Salary Range $59,550/yearly
(Will consider experience for higher starting salary)
Hours Monday - Friday, On-call status if needed
