About the role ReUp Education is looking for a
Data Engineer II
to help us empower more adult learners and educational institutions by scaling and optimizing our data platform. In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and warehouses to support business intelligence products, ML models, cloud‑based web applications, and marketing and coaching services. You’ll collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure quality data is accessible across the organization. This is an opportunity to build a modern data ecosystem in a mission‑driven organization.
What you’ll do Develop and maintain scalable, high‑performance data pipelines to ingest and process large volumes of student and institutional data. Design and optimize data models in data warehouses to power business intelligence products, ML models, cloud‑based web applications, and marketing and coaching services. Implement validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data quality. Improve the performance, reliability and automation of data workflows. Monitor and troubleshoot production data systems to ensure reliability and uptime. Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions. Create and maintain clear documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes.

2+ years of data engineering experience. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience working with cloud data platforms such as AWS, and data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake. Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow. Solid understanding of relational and non‑relational database design. Experience with Git and CI/CD best practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills. Nice to have:
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or CRM platforms such as Salesforce. Exposure to supporting predictive analytics or machine learning workflows. Experience with Agile engineering practices. Experience working in higher education, education technology, and/or a startup.
Benefits & Compensation Compensation

: This hybrid role can combine the best of both worlds: in‑person collaboration in our
