We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR.
The Security Administrator reports to the Vice President of Information Technology and supports the organization’s cybersecurity posture across multiple manufacturing sites. The role will focus on enhancing and maintaining the existing security toolset—Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Microsoft, ManageEngine, and Barracuda—while advancing disaster recovery procedures, end‑user training, and security policy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct investigative activities to support the organization’s Security Roadmap and identify necessary adjustments to the current cyber security toolset.
Maintain tool configurations based on findings.
Review alternative cyber security technologies for endpoint, network, cloud, and disaster recovery needs.
Respond to cyber security incidents in real time, monitoring and performing forensic analysis across the toolset.
Assist in designing security solutions for production systems on the plant floor.
Support implementation and maintenance of access control systems.
Help maintain vulnerability and patch management systems.
Promote secure, ethical, and responsible use of cyber security technologies through online training, documentation, policies, and classroom sessions.
Assist with compliance initiatives, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and security audits.
Develop custom security solutions on occasion.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline.
3+ years of general business experience evaluating, implementing, and supporting cyber security systems.
2+ years of hands‑on experience with the organization’s existing security toolset (Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Microsoft, ManageEngine, Barracuda).
Comprehensive understanding of enterprise‑level cyber security best practices—including DLP, microsegmentation, zero‑trust, disaster recovery, EDR, data replication strategies, and least privilege.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work in an on‑call environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership and management of investigative and implementation efforts.
Development of training materials and facilitation of training events for teams and individuals.
Systems‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Awareness of current cyber security trends and developments.
Project management at the task level.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Forensic work using CrowdStrike and Fortinet reporting.
Customer‑service perspective.
Working knowledge of PowerShell (preferred).
Benefits & Salary The company has a pay‑transparency policy and will share detailed compensation information during the interview process. The minimum salary for this role is $99,545, with adjustments based on experience, education, skills, training, and internal equity. Visual tasks: Close visual acuity required for analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspection.
Work Environment Hybrid role with requirement to attend the office based on business and departmental needs.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities Follow applicable procedures and work instructions.
