About
Essential Responsibilities
Analyze JetBlue's operational performance and assess constraints that impact efficiency.
Drive the development and adoption of capabilities, dashboards, and decision-support tools to enhance operational efficiency in the SOC and the broader JetBlue operation.
Partner with and liaise between operating groups to align tactical execution and strategic objectives.
Act as a key liaison between operational teams and data experts, applying a holistic view to develop and implement policies, strategies, processes, and technologies that address large-scale challenges while aligning with operational reliability and efficiency goals.
Support strategic planning for JetBlue's operational reliability across multiple teams.
Conduct reviews and analyses to support SOC, building a smarter and more resilient schedule.
Support SOC Weekly Operations Reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
Provide subject matter expertise in operational data, partnering with SOC, Enterprise Planning, IT Products, IT Data, and other stakeholders to ingest and develop insights and support data-driven decision-making from various data sources.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience.
One (1) year of quantitative and analytical experience.
Proficiency in database querying (e.g., SQL), high-level programming languages (such as Python or R), statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical issues assertively and tactfully.
Excellent multitasking skills.
Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%).
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
One (1) year of work experience in aviation or a related field, with progressive responsibility in operational strategy or decision support.
One (1) year of work experience at an airline in System Operations, Operations, Network, Enterprise Planning, or a related cross-functional role.
Strong airline business acumen, including a deep understanding of airline operations, network planning, and strategic decision-making.
Knowledge and/or experience with best practices across the airline industry.
Master's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of collaborative decision-making practices and airline operations.
Crewmember Expectations
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Potential need to work flexible hours and respond on short notice.
Able to maintain a professional appearance.
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, exhibiting the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun.
Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards.
Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR)).
Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and company policies, procedures, and risk controls.
Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to job responsibilities.
The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for this position.

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is between $64,350.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
