Description M2 Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer with strong experience in enterprise network design, operations, and security. This role supports the engineering, maintenance, and modernization of LAN, WAN, and virtualized network environments in secure and mission-focused infrastructures.
Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain TCP/IP-based networks across LAN, WAN, and virtualized environments
Implement and manage routing protocols and advanced virtual networking technologies
Perform routine network operations, maintenance, and system upgrades
Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and VoIP environments
Apply and maintain INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements across network infrastructure
Manage configuration control and documentation for network systems and devices
Configure and maintain network devices running Cisco IOS, including routing, switching, and segmentation technologies
Required Qualifications
Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance with polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 6 years of relevant network engineering experience
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP transport network design and engineering
Strong knowledge of network routing protocols and virtual networking technologies
Strong knowledge of network operations and maintenance processes
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies across enterprise network environments
Experience configuring and managing Cisco Systems routing and switching platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Experience designing and supporting a variety of enterprise network architectures and technologies
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and VDI environments
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts in Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, perimeter defense, and VPN technologies
Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments and supporting SecDevOps practices
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional
