Job Description SimIS, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering activities for a U.S. Navy Training Command. This position provides technical leadership for complex simulation and training systems including requirements analysis, system integration, verification and validation, and technical oversight of engineering teams supporting shore-based training systems.
The candidate performs the following specific assignments:
Deliver expertise in developing and reviewing system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
Manage multi-site operations with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations
Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments
Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms
Demonstrated experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements and accreditation processes
Use experience gained to help manage complex technical programs involving simulation systems and training environments
Experience Required
Eight (8) years of systems administration experience with three (3) years in leadership roles
Mandatory:
Must meet DOD 8570 requirements for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
Experience and Knowledge of Navy tactical systems and combat information center operations
SECRET clearance
