About
The role is paid on an hourly basis and limited to 1500 hours per calendar year. The salary range for the Student Assistant is $18.27 to $24.62 per hour.
Duties include:
Comparing real‑time satellite imagery to predictive model outputs and performing analyses of model outputs.
Presenting results to program management and partner agencies.
Using GIS platforms and performing statistical analyses of model outputs.
Essential personal qualifications:
Integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to perform assigned duties of the class.
Valid driver’s license if driving is required.
Special Requirements
Include RPA# 25-250-019 in the “Examination or Job Title(s)” section of the State application.
Submit photocopies of transcripts (unofficial acceptable).
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with geospatial databases and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Analytical tools and data processing.
Preparation and review of technical reports.
Predictive modeling basics and geospatial annotation tools.
Sensitivity testing and statistical analysis.
Presentation skills.
