Job Summary Seeking a Database Administrator III who will work with a dynamic team of system engineers and administrators responsible for design, implementation, operations & maintenance, and cybersecurity for large, complex, resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure. The position supports the maintenance of the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases. Duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
Responsibilities
Work with other Database Admins to administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures ensuring the database’s security and integrity.
Support evaluation and recommendations for available database management system (DBMS) products.
Support executing database and software life‑cycle activities to achieve optimal system performance, availability, and business compliance.
Support Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE database and application server administration.
Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.
Establish and maintain database user accounts.
Run reports upon request.
Support disaster recovery, performance analysis & tuning, index maintenance, and data monitoring.
Support development of policies and procedures for ensuring security and integrity of the databases.
Support data‑modeling activities via prototype database implementations.
Monitor, administer, and implement performance improvements on database systems, including index creation, structure redesign, and data reloading.
Coordinate database architecture changes with engineers.
Install database management systems, databases, tables, and views.
Use current and emerging database tools, strategies, and technologies.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will undergo a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology (IT) discipline from an accredited institution and 5+ years of experience.
8+ years of experience with an Associate's Degree.
4 years of experience in programs of similar size and complexity.
DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or higher.
LENEL Certified Expert (LCE) certification with a concentration in databases within six (6) months of contract start.
Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Time‑management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.

Pay Range $104,080 – $156,120 per year.
