A Typical Day A Data Engineer at Sophilabs is pivotal in building, optimizing, and maintaining conceptual and logical database models. They harness their expertise with relational databases and Amazon Redshift to ensure the organization's data architecture supports business requirements and industry practices. Responsibilities Design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale processing systems and other infrastructure. Set up and manage Amazon Redshift and other relational databases. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices. Collaborate with data scientists on big data initiatives and participate in data modeling and design brainstorming sessions. Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures. Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production. Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track issues within data infrastructure. Monitor debugging process results and rectify data discrepancies. Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and project managers to ensure seamless data flow and reliability. Stay up-to-date with new data technologies and best practices in data engineering. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering. Proficiency with Amazon Redshift. Experience in one or more relational databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. A positive attitude and passion for continuous learning. Demonstrates precision, customer success focus, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in English (B2 or more). Preferred qualifications Familiarity with AWS data services like AWS Glue, Kinesis, or S3. Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration tools and frameworks. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Full-time and Remote availability. Proficiency in English (B2 or more).
