Job Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in OAK BROOK, Illinois, 60523-4071, United States. The successful candidate will be tasked with the management, maintenance, and configuration of various systems, in addition to ensuring the security and efficiency of software and hardware installations.
Responsibilities
Configuring and managing backup solutions to ensure data safety
Installing and configuring software and hardware to maintain system efficiency
Managing and maintaining systems to ensure smooth operations
Creating and deploying scripts for the rollout of new software
Ensuring security through access controls, GPO, and security policies to protect sensitive information
Managing user permissions to maintain system integrity
Overseeing multi-factor authentication for enhanced security
Troubleshooting system-related issues to minimize downtime
Creating and responding to end-user tickets using internal ticketing software to resolve issues promptly
Conducting all work with knowledge of the appropriate security posture and guidelines for technology in healthcare, adhering to best practices at all times.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Systems Administrator or in a related role within the healthcare industry
Proficiency in VMware Infrastructure, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, Microsoft Windows, and PowerShell Scripting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations
Proven ability to maintain and improve IT systems in a healthcare setting
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong understanding of network architecture and data protection measures
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology.
