Position Summary
FHC runs its build work through its internal IT team and an external contract development team. This role is the person who keeps that delivery organized, on schedule, and shipping clean code: coordinate the dev team, run the dev-flow, manage version control discipline, and own testing before anything reaches users.
You report to the VP of IT Operations. The VP holds technical and architectural accountability; you own delivery coordination, project management, and quality. Practically, that means you run the board, keep the contract dev team aligned to scope, make sure pull requests and merges are handled cleanly, and gate releases on QA.
You also sit at the front of the AI program. You support the FHC AI program and work hand in hand with the product owner and FHC's internal customers — sales, support, engineering, operations, and leadership — you help map needs to the roadmap and prioritize what gets built and shipped first, so operational priorities, AI initiatives, and product work lands against real business value, not just availability.
Key Responsibilities
*Dev-team coordination*
* Coordinate the contract development team day to day — priorities, scope, blockers, and milestone tracking against their SOWs.
* Keep internal IT and the contract team in sync so parallel workstreams don't collide.
* Run the cadence: standups, status, and a clear, current view of what's in flight and what's next.
*Project management & dev-flow*
* Own the work in the dev-flow / PM tool — set up and run boards, tickets, sprints, and reporting. (Tooling selection is in progress; likely Jira, Monday, or similar.)
* Maintain a prioritized backlog tied to business needs and clear acceptance criteria.
* Track timelines, flag slippage early, and keep the VP and stakeholders informed with concise written status.
*Version control & release management*
* Manage the Git workflow: branch strategy, pull-request hygiene, code-review routing, and clean merges.
* Make sure push/pull requests are reviewed and managed, not piling up — and that nothing merges to main without passing the agreed checks.
* Coordinate releases and keep a clear record of what shipped, when, and what changed.
*Testing & QA*
* Define and run test plans for front-end and integration deliverables — functional, regression, and acceptance testing — before release.
* Build and maintain test cases; log, triage, and verify defect fixes with the dev team.
* Own the release gate: nothing reaches production users until it passes QA.
* Run user-acceptance testing with the business and confirm fixes hold.
*Stakeholder mapping & requirements*
* Partner with FHC's internal customers — sales, support, engineering, operations, and leadership — to capture needs, map them to the right systems, and prioritize delivery.
* Translate requests into clear, prioritized, testable tickets, and keep requesters informed on status, scope, and timing.
*AI roadmap & prioritization*
* Work with the product owner and FHC leadership to maintain the AI/product roadmap and keep it grounded in what the business actually needs.
* Sequence AI and product deliverables against business value and readiness, and keep that work tracked on the same board and run through the same QA and release process as everything else.
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years in technical project management, dev-team coordination, or release/QA management for software or integration work.
* Hands-on with a dev-flow / PM tool (Jira, Monday, Azure DevOps, or similar) — setting up boards, sprints, and reporting, not just using them.
* Practical understanding of Git workflows: branches, pull requests, code review, and merge/release discipline.
* Real QA experience: writing test cases, running functional/regression/UAT, and holding a release gate.
* Strong requirements skills — turning fuzzy business asks into clear, testable work.
* Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience coordinating external/contract dev teams against SOWs and milestones.
* Familiarity with web/front-end and integration testing (e.g., e-commerce, portals, chatbot or contact-center front ends).
* Comfort helping shape and prioritize an AI/product roadmap with a product owner and business stakeholders; light exposure to AI/LLM-based tools a plus.
* Exposure to manufacturing or distribution operations (quoting, support, product data).
* PM or QA certification (CAPM/PMP, ISTQB, Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma).
* Comfort with documentation, training, and change management for non-technical users.
The Environment You'll Work In
FHC's build work spans e-commerce (Magento/Hyvä), the Customer API and integrations, CRM and quoting systems, and customer-facing front ends — delivered by an external contract dev team working alongside internal IT under VP-owned architecture. A dev-flow / PM tool is being selected to manage all of it. Your job is to make that delivery predictable: organized work, clean version control, and tested releases people can trust.
First 6–12 Months — What Success Looks Like
* Dev-flow / PM tool stood up and adopted, with the contract dev team tracked against SOW milestones.
* A managed Git workflow in place — PRs reviewed and merged cleanly, releases recorded.
* A working QA process — test cases, defect tracking, and a release gate — applied to live deliverables.
* A prioritized, current backlog with clear acceptance criteria and concise status reporting to the VP.
* A working AI/product roadmap maintained with the product owner and the business, with delivery prioritized against real value.
