IT Manager Position

Do you want an IT manager position that requires advanced interpersonal skills and managing all business systems and information technology aspects in the Business Unit?

Does your experience include developing technology policies, managing the IT budget, developing enterprise integration solutions, mitigating information technology risks, and analyzing business processes and procedures?

Do you have experience providing support and training for domestic and international operating locations?

Primary responsibilities involve managing and developing a team of four IT professionals, analyzing systems and processes to promote process excellence, maintaining workstations and networks, managing ERP projects, and designing, developing, and maintaining business applications.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, managing day-to-day IT needs while aligning technology strategies with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive IT strategy as defined by the business controller, Company leadership, and Division Vice President of IT.
  • Manage IT budgets effectively, seeking cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure systems are secure, updated, backed up, and functioning optimally.
  • Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Manage onboarding of new hires (equipment configuration, account creation, review I.T. policies).
  • Conduct training sessions to improve staff technology literacy.
  • Provide technical assistance to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems and implement solutions promptly.
  • Maintaining compliance with IT SOX, NIST 800 and Corporate IT policy requirements.
  • Liaise with corporate shared service teams and IT vendors for procurement and support services.
  • Implement and enforce data security measures and backup protocols.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain disaster and recovery plans.
  • Manage implementation of IT projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: A small team of reports comprising in-person and remote workers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5 years of proven experience managing business technology, preferably supporting a manufacturing business unit that is part of a large public company.
  • Proficiency in managing networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or MCSE are a plus.
