Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Network Engineer/COMSEC Custodian to work on our network team. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities: Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, ACLs, VPN, QoS) Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Perform professional technical work that requires in-depth knowledge and diversified application of network engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques Ensure execution of network engineering processes across the lifecycle, and report on project status and progress measured against specific plans Research emerging trends, techniques, methods, and current best practices Competitive wages Medical Dental 401k Paid time off Work/life balance Career development Tuition reimbursement Mentorship opportunities Rewards & recognition HAFB, Utah The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date. Education and Experience Requirements are as follows: HS diploma and 12+ years of related experience, or BS/BA and 6+ years of related experience, or MA/MS with 4+ years of related experience Related experience should be in network engineering, design, configuration, maintenance, patching, and upgrades The successful candidate should be able to: Communicate effectively with internal and external resources necessary to successfully complete assignments or projects Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets, including end-user support via phone, email, and remote control. Utilize DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance. The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510
