Location: Billerica, MA (Hybrid) Duration: Long-Term Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to build and support a secure, scalable self-service Azure platform for application deployment and AI-enabled development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), security governance, and developer platform engineering. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop self-service deployment portals and developer platforms. Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML. Automate application onboarding, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Configure Azure Deployment Environments (ADE) and develop IaC templates using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM. Implement Azure governance, RBAC, managed identities, security controls, and cost management policies. Integrate Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and enterprise SSO solutions. Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of Azure cloud/platform engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, ADE, App Services, Static Web Apps, and Entra ID. Expertise in Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and CI/CD automation. Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service provisioning solutions. Strong understanding of Azure governance, security, RBAC, and managed identities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Skills: AI development environment support. GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar AI tools. Power Platform experience. Azure Container Apps and container-based deployments. FinOps and cloud cost governance. Backstage or developer portal experience.
