Your Impact As an Applications Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between product design and customer needs; translating requirements into precise solutions that meet performance, manufacturability, and cost goals. You’ll create and manage quotes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the ERP and CAD ecosystems. This role combines technical engineering skill with customer‑facing collaboration. You’ll partner closely with sales, product management, and R&D to support design reviews, validate field conditions, and deliver projects that exceed expectations.
Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Creating quotes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD drawings, and new part numbers in the ERP system
Conducting design reviews and supporting final order approvals
Maintaining and organizing CAD and part libraries for accuracy and consistency
Collaborating with product managers on R&D initiatives and product improvements
Partnering with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility and quality standards
Traveling to customer sites for design validation, site measurements, and sales support
Documenting designs, revisions, and approvals in line with company standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or OnShape
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Office suite
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments
Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
