About this role Manager, Software Engineering at Apex Fintech Solutions will lead the Ascend Account Transfers engineering team, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and managers to deliver cutting-edge projects that shape the industry's future. This role combines people management with strategic vision, influencing Agile development initiatives to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations. Responsibilities Lead and manage engineering initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders such as product managers and business users to define scope, objectives, and deliverables while managing the engineering team throughout the product life cycle. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, PI Planning, and promote continuous improvement. Identify and mitigate risks with close attention to detail, proactively addressing issues to avoid delays. Serve as the primary point of contact for project and engineering updates, reporting, and ensure transparency and effective communication with stakeholders. Coordinate with various funnels to ensure resource availability and prioritization of work. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 6+ years of experience managing technology projects, preferably in SaaS, Infrastructure, or software development within a financial services or technology firm. 2+ years of experience as a people manager. Proven expertise in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence. Required Skills & Abilities Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams. Expertise in fault-tolerant, self-healing system design, high-availability services, and handling high-throughput real-time data processing. Proficiency in cloud-based (GCP) backend systems and micro-service architecture to ensure scalability and reliability. Solid understanding of DevOps principles with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Understanding of security best practices for APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills for navigating complexities and delivering effective solutions. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with financial systems, trading and accounting concepts, and compliance within regulated environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
