Our mission is to develop and deploy advanced analytic tools that use AI/ML to enable proactive decision‑making and enhance mission readiness across all Lockheed Martin Business Areas.
Responsibilities
Lead a multidisciplinary team to design, develop and deliver advanced analytics that proactively identify and mitigate cost, readiness, and risk issues for aircraft fleets.
Collaborate with commercial and military aircraft sustainment teams to accelerate business decisions, investigate fleet degraders for root causes, and recommend product and process improvements.
Analyze and interpret data to develop and implement predictive models, forecasting tools, and decision‑optimization solutions.
Solicit and understand new use cases, design and estimate optimal solutions, deliver scalable products, and capture ROI of new tools and analyses.
Identify talent needs, recruit, coach, maintain a talent pipeline, and allocate team members and resources to meet project demands.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship, able to work on‑site in Trumbull, CT, at least 3 days per week.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mechanical/Aerospace/Systems Engineering, Math/Stats, Physics or a related field and 5+ years of professional experience in aircraft analytics or engineering.
3+ years of technical leadership focused on systems engineering, analytic product development, or a related field.
Experience with scripting languages, data manipulation, agile software development, and analytic tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Excel, GitLab, Tableau).
Familiarity with machine‑learning and predictive‑modeling methodologies.
Ability to plan and execute projects, applying project‑management techniques to control cost, schedule, and performance, and manage team tasks.
Desired Skills
Master’s degree in a related field.
Effective communication of technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience managing technical teams designing and deploying AI/ML‑powered solutions for data products and statistical analysis.
Experience in aircraft design, maintenance, operations, sustainment, supply chain, or logistics.
Pioneering mindset, proactive stakeholder engagement, and ability to tackle undefined challenges.
Familiarity with model interpretability, explainability, and transparency.
Additional Information
Clearance level: None.
Part‑time remote telework; selected employee will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a Lockheed Martin facility.
Work schedule: 4×10‑hour days, 3 days off per week.
Experience level: Experienced Professional; Business Unit: RMS; Career area: Data Science; Type: Full‑Time; Shift: First.
