Safety and Claims Coordinator

About
Coordinate the City's workers' compensation program, ensuring claims follow L&I guidelines while processing claim documentation, maintaining accurate records, and monitoring and analyzing claim data. Communicate with employees, medical providers, and management regarding claims; coordinate with physicians on light duty offers, work restrictions, and return-to-work capabilities. Analyze claim data, provide recommendations on claims management, coordinate documentation for audits, and process related administrative records and reporting. Assist with onboarding new employees into safety programs, including administrative tracking, data entry, compliance monitoring, and follow-up on expired or incomplete trainings across a variety of safety, risk management, and personnel-related programs and processes.
A successful candidate in this position will:

Manage time and resources efficiently to complete work tasks. Ensures confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and City information by handling all sensitive and organizational information appropriately.
