About
Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents during assigned shifts Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely as prescribed Assess resident needs and address concerns promptly Monitor resident conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate clinical leadership Document resident assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner Maintain communication with physicians, families, and designated healthcare representatives regarding resident status and care updates Complete nurse documentation for acute illnesses, physician visits, resident passes, and return evaluations Promote effective teamwork and collaboration among nursing staff and other departments Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Participate in staff meetings, educational programs, and ongoing training as required Support quality care initiatives and resident safety programs Perform additional duties as assigned
Leadership Responsibilities
Supervise and direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) providing resident care Assign resident care responsibilities and monitor completion of assigned tasks Provide guidance and support to nursing support staff throughout the shift Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Required Qualifications
Current and active LPN or LVN license in good standing Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing, or related healthcare settings preferred Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-focused care
Schedule & Assignment Details
13-week contract assignment Day shift schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM 36 guaranteed hours per week No on-call responsibilities One position available
