Essential Job Duties
Responsible for primary athletic training sport coverage for sport(s) as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine
Provide clinical evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses under the general supervision of the designated team physician and in accordance with standards of the NATABOC and state regulatory board
Maintain current certification and credentials consistent with NATABOC and state regulatory agency requirements
Coordinate physician referrals as part of the injury management process
Maintain accurate and up-to-date written treatment and injury records in accordance with established medical documentation standards
Maintain open lines of communication with coaching staff, team physicians and medical providers
Assist in the development and integration of sports medicine policies and procedures as they relate to the operation of athletic training services, including EAPs and game day EMS
Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Athletics or supervisor

Valid driver's license
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and travel as needed
Supervision This position assists with supervision of student volunteers and student hourly employees as applicable. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in health and exercise science, sports medicine, kinesiology, anatomy or related field
Minimum of two years of previous experience as a certified athletic trainer
Current BOC certification
Current license as an athletic trainer with the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required prior to the start date of employment
High level of clinical athletic training skills, effective communication, and ability to work effectively with a team-based approach
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Broad-based experience
Experience working full-time in an intercollegiate sports medicine or athletic training program at the NCAA Division I level
Ability to manage competing and urgent priorities and meet deadlines in a high demand profession
Ability to respond professionally and competently in emergency situations
