Certified Sterile Processing Technician Full Time / Competitive PaySterile Processing Technician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring that all tools meet safety and hygiene standards. You will work closely with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to provide essential support for patient care. Sterile Processing Technician Key Responsibilities:
Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies following proper procedures and safety protocols. Inspect and test instruments for functionality and safety before they are used in surgical procedures. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards during the sterilization process. Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures, including lot numbers and sterilization dates. Monitor inventory levels and ensure all equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and ready for use. Work closely with surgical staff to ensure the timely and efficient availability of instruments and supplies for procedures. Adhere to OSHA guidelines and departmental policies regarding handling of hazardous materials and sterile equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot sterilization equipment as needed. Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) required. Previous experience in sterile processing or a healthcare-related field preferred. Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and safety protocols. Attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
