Maintain flexibility in scheduling, demonstrate punctuality, and perform effectively under pressure. Provide safe patient transfers using adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts and sliding boards. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality. Keep patients and their families informed about exam progress and respond promptly to their needs. Accurately interpret physician orders and maintain thorough patient and departmental records. Education Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required. Experience At least six months of experience as a registered radiographer is preferred. Certifications and Licenses
Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry-eligible with commitment to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
Mental and Physical Requirements Close mental and visual attention for extended periods is necessary. The role involves working under stressful conditions and requires physical ability to transport oneself throughout the department, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and other physical activities. Working Conditions Potential exposure to infectious diseases, chemicals, anesthetics, and controlled radiation. The position may require on-call duties and varied shifts to ensure continuous patient care.
