Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing essential radiologic imaging services that support life-saving diagnoses and treatments. This role involves operating radiologic equipment to capture images for radiologist interpretation, with opportunities to assist in other medical imaging areas as trained. Key Responsibilities
Maintain schedule flexibility and punctuality while managing multiple priorities effectively under pressure. Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and team members, ensuring smooth coordination of tasks and timely updates on exam status. Provide compassionate personal care and safe patient transfers using adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts and sliding boards. Handle confidential information with integrity and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Perform radiologic procedures in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory standards, ensuring patient safety and accurate record-keeping. Education Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required. Experience At least six months of experience as a registered radiographer is preferred but not mandatory. Certification and Licenses
Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required. Candidates eligible for registry must attempt within 30 days of hire and pass within 90 days. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
Mental and Physical Requirements This position requires close mental and visual attention for extended periods and the ability to work under stressful conditions due to patient needs. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and the ability to transport oneself throughout the department. Working Conditions Potential exposure to infectious diseases, chemicals, anesthetics, and controlled radiation. The role may require call duties and varied shifts to ensure continuous patient care.
