About
Enter referral authorization requests into both the IPA and County electronic systems. Coordinate and follow up on referrals for specialties or diagnostics. Communicate with providers and patients. Demonstrate ability to prioritize and handle urgent referrals. Maintain electronic logs of all referrals in the i2i Population Health system Enter pertinent medical information into the order management section in NextGen. Enter referral authorization requests into both the IPA and County electronic system. Obtain consultation reports. Attend meetings offsite/onsite/zoom. Work cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team. Work with the health care team to ensure prompt processing of referrals. Mail out authorization letters. Follow up with patients as needed or as requested. Answer incoming calls, and respond to voice messages. Attending assigned training either offsite or onsite. Respond promptly and appropriately to patient and/or provider requests. Demonstrate dignity with kindness and compassion to all patients, visitors, and staff. Scan all referral requests, authorizations, and consult notes into the patient's electronic medical record. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Other responsibilities as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of referral procedures is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with NextGen and EHR preferred. Knowledge of i2i
Two years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Must be proficient in Spanish to effectively communicate with customers Excellent interpersonal skills to care for patients continually Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Data Entry Able to work with minimal supervision. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
