About
Prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of athletic injuries and illnesses for student-athletes. Coordination of medical care for student-athletes, including communication with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers. Development and implementation of injury prevention programs, rehabilitation protocols, and emergency action plans. Oversight and maintenance of athletic training facilities, medical equipment, and supplies, including inventory management and purchasing recommendations. Scheduling and coordination of athletic training coverage for practices, competitions, and special events. Maintenance of accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with institutional, NAIA, and HIPAA guidelines. Monitoring and management of student-athlete medical clearances, insurance information, and return-to-play protocols. Work collaboratively with coaches, administrators, strength and conditioning staff, team physicians, and other campus personnel to support student-athlete wellness and performance. Assist with travel planning and provide athletic training coverage and medical support during team travel as needed. Supervision, training, and evaluation of assistant athletic trainers, graduate assistants, and student workers, if applicable. Education of student-athletes regarding injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, recovery, and overall wellness practices. Coordination of student-athlete health and safety initiatives in conjunction with the NAIA Champions of Character program. Participation in athletic department meetings, professional development opportunities, and departmental initiatives. Department assistance with game day management throughout the year. Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, physicians, officials, and peers. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in athletic training or related field from an accredited institution NATABOC Certified, Licensed or eligible for License in the State of Missouri Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification Experience working in collegiate athletics or a comparable athletic environment Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years working in collegiate athletics or a comparable athletic environment Certified CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor
