Training & DevelopmentTrain new scribes on clinical workflows, documentation standards, and EHR systems Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback Ensure competency in medical terminology and specialty-specific documentation Identify training gaps and implement improvement plans
3. Operational OversightCoordinate daily scribe assignments based on volume and provider needs Optimize workflow efficiency and scribe utilization Collaborate with leadership to improve documentation processes Troubleshoot real-time operational issues
4. Documentation Quality & ComplianceConduct routine chart audits to ensure accuracy and completeness Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies Address documentation errors and implement corrective actions Maintain consistency in documentation standards across the team
5. Provider & Stakeholder SupportServe as a primary point of contact for scribe services Build strong relationships with leadership staff to enhance collaboration Respond to feedback and implement workflow improvements
6. Reporting & Administrative FunctionsTrack and report key metrics (accuracy, staffing levels, turnover) Assist with labor cost monitoring and staffing efficiency initiatives Support payroll processes, timekeeping, and scheduling systems Prepare reports for leadership on program performance
QualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Healthcare Administration, Biology, or related field) 2–4 years of medical scribe experience Prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows Experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic) Leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment In-person Scribe experience preferred
