Location: Remote (must reside in the State of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina) Status: Full Time (non-exempt) Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm Days: Monday – Friday
The Coding Coordinator is a full-time remote position. This team member must currently reside in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina or South Carolina. Sign on bonuses available! Responsibilities:
The Medical Records Coding Coordinator performs reviews of medical records to assign or confirm appropriate diagnosis assignment of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT4, HCPCS and Modifiers Serves as liaison between billing, ancillary departments and coding to correct bills, identify errors and trends for problem solving and education. Monitors patient bill-hold for timely billing. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures:
Required - CPC (Coding); Or - CCS (Coding); Preferred - RHIA (Health Information); Preferred - RHIT (Health Information)
Education:
Required - high school or equivalent Preferred - associate degree in Health Information Technology
Experience:
Required – 3 years coding Preferred – 3 years medical records
