Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities As a CST in our surgical department, you will be responsible for preparing operating rooms with meticulous attention to detail. This includes sterilizing and organizing instruments, ensuring all surgical tools and supplies are accounted for, and setting the room according to surgical protocol. Before the patient even arrives, your readiness sets the tone for what's to come. During surgical procedures, your role becomes even more critical. You'll assist the surgeon directly by anticipating their needs, passing instruments swiftly and safely, and helping maintain a sterile field throughout the case. Our CSTs are cross-trained in a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, and cardiovascular, and we welcome those interested in expanding into additional specialties. What We're Looking For in a Surgical Technologist To be considered for this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and certified through the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) or hold a comparable credential.
