About
Develop and maintain foundational components of our "Shelf" platform, an internal system that manages all aspects of warehouse inventory and fulfillment. Work with a team of front end and back end engineers and operational leaders to understand and build solutions for new projects. Dedicate time to "hardening" the software, proactively fixing root causes of recurring issues during your on-call rotation. Tackle a wide range of backend challenges to maintain and improve the system's scalability and stability.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in a modern backend language like Ruby, Node.js , Java, Python, or Go. SQL expertise is a must, with experience in databases like PostgreSQL. Experience working in AWS. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus but not required. A go-getter attitude with a passion for learning and taking on new challenges. Proven ability to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.

What is the team like?
You will work under the supervision of a Principal Software Engineer, collaborating with a team of front-end and back-end engineers based in the US. The team follows a hybrid work schedule; Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office, and work from home on Tuesday and Friday.
