Location: Miami, FL – Hybrid (relocation assistance to Miami offered) Salary: up to $200,000 base + benefits (dependent on experience) Contact: Christian.ramirez@forsythbarnes.com **This role is not eligible for sponsorship/visa transfer or C2C/C2H – sorry!!** We have partnered with a rapidly growing technology company who is in search for an seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join a crucial team that is integral for the day-to-day operations of the business. This position will be responsible for assessing current development and deployment processes and become a key voice for their business. Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, and high availability across all hosted applications and environments. Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment configurations for a diverse tech stack (Java, PHP, Scala, Perl, Node.js). Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Software Development, BI, AdOps, Customization) to support deployments, resolve technical issues, and enhance system performance. Develop automation tools to streamline infrastructure operations, monitor system health, and proactively manage AWS usage and costs. Participate in incident response and on-call support, assist developers with access and deployment workflows, and contribute to architectural and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Expertise in Infrastructure/DevOps roles with a strong background in supporting 300+ instance AWS/Cloud environments and AWS Services (ECS/ECR, EC2, S3, IAM, CLI) – background as a developer is very helpful. Strong experience in automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and proficient in scripting/programming with Python or Java. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and queuing systems like RabbitMQ and AWS SQS. Strong familiarity with databases (RDS, DynamoDB, MySQL), monitoring, security best practices, and an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is a plus.
