About

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and architect solutions that meet business requirements. Design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across data centers, campuses, and WAN using Cisco, Arista, HPE/Aruba platforms. Lead implementation efforts for large‑scale network initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery. Lead troubleshooting efforts for network outages or performance issues, applying advanced diagnostic techniques and recommending preventive changes. Develop and enforce network policies, standards, and best practices, staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Support hybrid cloud connectivity and SD‑WAN integrations. Oversee network upgrades, migrations, and integrations, coordinating with other IT teams and vendors for seamless transitions. Prepare detailed documentation, reports, diagrams, and present findings & recommendations to management and stakeholders. Provide technical training and guidance, mentoring junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing. Required Skills Advanced networking experience leveraging TCP/IP, subnetting, switching fundamentals, VLANs, STP, LACP, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, route redistribution, and policy‑based routing across Cisco, Arista, and HPE platforms. Network design expertise: HA/redundancy (HSRP/VRRP), capacity planning, scalable campus/DC/WAN designs, L2/L3 designs, EVPN/VXLAN, micro‑segmentation, and ACLs. Experience supporting integrations with firewalls, virtualization, and storage technologies. Proficiency in troubleshooting with packet capture tools like Wireshark or tcpdump, including root‑cause analysis. Demonstrated technical leadership in mentoring, incident management, problem resolution, stakeholder communication, design presentations, and documentation. Experience in network automation and cloud networking routing, VPN (IPSec/SSL), DirectConnect, Citrix, F5 load balancer, Cisco VPN, and SD‑WAN. Strong vendor relations and risk/timeline management skills. Qualifications 15 years of experience in network design, solution deployment, and support. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. CCNP or CCIE certification is required. Job Location San Jose, CA (in‑person/onsite position) Compensation The annual salary range for California is $136,500 to $253,500. Potential incentive compensation includes bonus, equity, and benefits.
