Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage mission networks and laboratory environments at NAWCWD, Point Mugu, CA . This role requires expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) , Microsoft Windows Server , virtualization, containerization, automation, and secure system sustainment in a DoD environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deploy, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure
Administer RHEL and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise storage
Manage containerized workloads (Docker/Podman) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
Develop automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell
Ensure systems comply with DoD cybersecurity policies and DISA STIGs
Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues
Qualifications
Active DoD Top Secret clearance required
5-7+ years enterprise systems administration experience
2+ years RHEL administration experience
Preferred
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Microsoft Windows Server certifications
Experience with Nutanix, Rubrik, InfoBlox, LogRhythm, Tanium, SCCM/MECM/Intune
