About
Minimum Job Requirements Experience performing Linux system administration. Strong troubleshooting skills across complex technical environments. Experience with security configuration, hardening, or compliance practices.
Education/Experience Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Desired Qualifications Experience with configuration automation tools such as CFEngine and directory services such as LDAP. Familiarity with STIG requirements, compliance practices, and secure Linux operations. Ability to support system‑level design, automation workflows, and reliability‑focused improvements. Active DOE L or Q clearance, or equivalent, transferable clearance.
Essential Job Functions Lifting 40 to 50 pounds (can perform with or without reasonable accommodation).
Work Location The work location for this position is onsite in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position Commitment The position commitment for this role is 1 year.
Clearance Position will be cleared to Q clearance. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances.
