Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Database Developer - Expert to join their team. As a Database Developer -Expert, you will be part of the Database Administration department supporting large-scale enterprise database platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Database Admin -Expert Location: Austin, TX or Dallas, TX. What's the Job?
Support and evolve Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server environments through maintenance, migrations, upgrades, and automation.
Optimize database performance, availability, and reliability through tuning, capacity planning, and workload analysis.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
Troubleshoot production issues end-to-end, develop cleanup scripts, and drive root-cause analysis.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and best practices for database operations.
What's Needed?
12+ years of hands‑on Oracle Database Administration experience, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
Experience with database maintenance, upgrades, migrations, patching, backup/recovery, and lifecycle management.
Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and GoldenGate.
Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimization.
Scripting and automation experience (shell scripting, Perl, PowerShell) to streamline operations.
