Project/Contract Overview Sienna Systems is looking for a motivated system engineer to join our team in Northern Virginia for a Federal contract. The team will monitor and sustain a variety of interconnected complex IT cloud and hybrid systems. The scope of work includes support for build out, administration, the operational environment, cloud migration, security, and configuration management.
Job Description The scope of work includes contractor support for the design and development of production systems for the existing on-prem and cloud environments. This includes support for administration, the operational environment, cloud migration, security, and configuration management. The team is lean and agile, so must be self-motivated.
The primary objectives include:
Technical Duties and Functional Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should be able to perform the following:
Experience managing AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Security Policies)
Scripting experience a plus (e.g., Ansible, AWS-CLI, PowerShell)
Extensive experience with Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server
Perform administration and manage SharePoint and Office 365
Experience with supporting cloud migrations and cloud computing services
Experience working with IIS, SQL Server
Support large internet facing applications
Strong customer support skills
Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
Proven effective teaming and inter-personal skills
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks at once and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Job Requirements, Skills, and Certs
Be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Must have 2+ years of experience in AWS
Must have 6+ years of experience in Windows Administration
Must have good communications skills
Additional Information
Salary: up to $145,000 based on years of experience and knowledge/expertise
