About

Overview StraitSys Inc is seeking a skilled Database Developer who will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of databases across multiple networks. The role ensures databases function efficiently while maintaining accurate, accessible, and secure data. The developer will work closely with the System Architect/Engineer and/or Technical Subject Matter Expert to design, implement, modify, and maintain database infrastructure to meet databasing needs. This role also involves creating and modifying Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines in support of software development, data modeling, and schema design. Responsibilities Experience as a database administrator responsible for deployment and management of efficient database operations and processes. Perform database administration tasks, backups, and recoveries. Work comfortably with users to resolve database questions or issues. Extensive experience with SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Proficiency in data modeling, normalization, schema design, and creating stored procedures, views, and triggers. Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools to move and cleanse data. Analyze execution plans, optimize complex queries, and manage indexing strategies for high‑volume transactions. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Full‑stack development utilizing tools such as .NET, Visual Studio 2019, Bootstrap, and common development languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript. Experience working within and interacting with AWS Cloud infrastructures. Required Qualifications Active Top Secret Clearance. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent substitution of 5+ years’ experience as a database administrator with large networks supporting 500+ users. Strong technical skills in database design, management, and security, and excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in an environment incorporating IT project management principles, Agile/Scrum development methodology, and development & operations (DevOps) strategy for IT Programs. Working Environment Office Environment.
