Overview CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer III for a W2 contract assignment supporting enterprise-scale networking, automation, and infrastructure transformation initiatives. Type: Contract Job Title: IT Network Engineer III Location: Hybrid (preferred) – 1 day/week onsite; preference given to candidates within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline required Travel: Potential travel of up to 30% (domestic); during critical projects, travel requirements may increase Key Highlights Hybrid role (1 day/week onsite; preferred candidates within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY) Strong focus on enterprise routing, switching, SD-WAN, wireless, and network automation (IaC) Hands-on environment leveraging Arista, Cisco, and MIST technologies Automation-driven network engineering using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and REST APIs Opportunity to support global enterprise and manufacturing/OT environments Core Responsibilities Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network architectures across campus, data center, and hybrid environments Engineer and support routing and switching infrastructure using BGP, OSPF, Arista, and Cisco platforms Architect and manage enterprise wireless solutions, with emphasis on MIST wireless environments Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and network automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and APIs Support SD-WAN and hybrid cloud connectivity initiatives Partner with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, infrastructure, OT/manufacturing) Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures Participate in on-call rotation and support critical incidents Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, routing, and switching technologies Hands-on experience with Arista (including CloudVision) and Cisco environments Experience with enterprise wireless networks (MIST preferred) Strong background in network automation (Ansible, Python, Terraform, REST APIs) Deep understanding of LAN, SD-WAN, and hybrid network architectures Experience supporting large-scale, global enterprise environments Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications CCNP, Arista ACE L5, or equivalent certifications Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking Manufacturing or OT network environment experience Experience with vendor management, budgeting, or cost analysis Additional Information No third party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer CTG is an E-Verify Company
