As part of our team, you will collaborate with a cross‑functional team of technical professionals, including software and systems engineers and radar operators, to maintain the cybersecurity posture of the Space Fence Radar System. Who you are Passionate about cybersecurity and eager to contribute skills and expertise to our mission. Demonstrable knowledge in cybersecurity administration or systems administration, through practical, hands‑on work experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team. Solid working knowledge of Linux (mostly RedHat) or Windows based systems and an active CompTIA Security+ certification or higher IAT Certification. Ability to obtain a US Secret Security or higher level clearance. Experience with ESS, ACAS, or Splunk security tools is a plus, as well as experience with Windows Active Directory and familiarity with DISA STIGs. The work Hardening operating systems, applications, and network devices. Conducting vulnerability scans. Continuous monitoring of the security posture of the system. Assisting with Government Certification Test and Evaluation (CT&E) and Vulnerability Testing. Implementing security updates and patches. Applying configuration changes to ESS, ACAS, and Splunk security tools. Providing support to maintain the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of the system, including support of the RMF package. Supporting system administrators, engineers, and operators when troubleshooting events. Collaborating with system stakeholders to ensure the cybersecurity posture of the system is maintained. Interfacing with and supporting the ISSO and other government security stakeholders. Supporting the Security Impact Analysis (SIA) process through the generation of Contract Deliverables (CDRL) and RMF supporting artifacts on both unclassified and classified networks. Basic qualifications Related Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 3+ years of equivalent professional experience. Demonstrable and relevant cybersecurity engineering or systems administration experience. Good working knowledge of Linux or Windows based systems. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP). Ability to obtain an Secret DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting this position. US citizenship required. Ability to travel up to 15% to customer sites across the U.S. Valid U.S. passport required. Desired skills Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, and ACAS administration experience. Experience in cloud and container orchestration environments such as Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes. ACAS scanning experience. ESS administration and monitoring experience. Splunk or other SIEM tools experience. Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) capabilities. Linux/RedHat or Windows OS certifications. Windows Active Directory and Group Policy maintenance experience. Familiarity with DISA STIGs. Systems administration troubleshooting experience. Good organizational and coordination skills. Strong communication skills and ability to support and collaborate with a team. Critical thinking skills to provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Familiarity with eMASS and execution of POA&M.
